What you’ll be doing

This is a newly created role to support the Manager, Technology Strategy in developing, implementing, and monitoring technology and commercial strategies for our Information Technology division. This position requires a blend of analytical capability, commercial acumen, and technology understanding to drive value, optimize costs, and support strategic decision-making across the technology portfolio.

Further responsibilities include: 

• Support the development of technology and commercial strategies by conducting market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend assessments
• Analyse technology investment opportunities and provide recommendations based on cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and strategic alignment
• Assist in the preparation of business cases, investment proposals, and strategic planning documents
• Contribute to technology road-map development by providing commercial and financial insights
• Support vendor and contract management activities, including relationship management and performance monitoring
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements
• Assist in managing procurement strategies & activities (alongside our highly experienced Procurement function)
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to technology investments, vendor performance, and strategic objectives
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership on commercial and strategic matters
• Collaborate with technology teams, finance, procurement, and business units to gather requirements and insights
• Participate in cross-functional project teams to ensure commercial considerations are integrated into technology initiatives 

You’ll be great in this role if you have…

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics, or IT related field
• At least 3-5 years’ of experience in management consulting, technology strategy or commercial analysis roles
• Experience in technology sector or supporting technology functions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex information clearly
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to interpret complex data
• Understanding of commercial and contract management principles
• Experience with strategy creation 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
